At One's Wit's End
In the SHM Community Forums, Joanne responded to one member who seemed to be overwhelmed and hopeless about all that was happening. She wrote:
Moco, You are saying too much with too few words. I can't be sure what you are meaning.
What do you do when you've tried all you can? I usually cry, and then try some more. But it depends on the situation. What are you describing? What have you tried?
When I can't keep it together, I pay a professional to help me. no ifs, ands, or buts. I pull out my credit card and get help, especially if it involves people I love, myself included.
As for not having the life you envisioned, well, my dear, join the club on that issue!! Most of us will never have what we envisioned. Life beats the living daylights out of those visions and oftentimes, with one sudden blow.
And if my heart ifs the only one breaking, then my decision to leave is even easier. Why stick around if someone doesn't care?? That is, unless if you have children, of course. Then you've got yourself in a heck of a jam.
So tell us more (give examples and more details in your sentences) and I'll be back to tell you more of what my thoughts are, ok?
